In nearly all cases, yes, you need to act fast. Getting advice from an experienced attorney right away could help you avoid weeks or even months of tedious red tape. An attorney will be able to guide you through the process. Additionally, when your attorney becomes involved with your case at its beginning, they will be better able to gather appropriate records and make sure there’s plenty of thorough documentation.

The vast majority of personal injury cases do settle, but there is no guarantee that your particular case will settle. If the insurance company refuses to make a reasonable offer, your case will continue to be developed with an eye toward trial.

If you are concerned about what will happen if your employer finds out you are thinking about hiring an attorney. But don’t worry. Conversations with an attorney regarding potential legal advice are protected under the law. Nobody – not your employer, not an insurance company, not anybody — has the right to know about my legal advice or your confidential free legal consultation.

There is no catch. Many clients come to me because they are in a difficult financial situation. If you don’t win, you won’t pay a dime. If the case is won, a percentage of your winnings will go towards my fees. The exact percentage will never be a surprise. I will discuss it with you at the beginning of the case.

Definitely not. Only a very small percentage of personal injury cases go to trial. Most of the time, an insurance company is anxious to settle. If I can reach an agreement with the insurance company, you will get your compensation without ever seeing the inside of a courtroom.
